महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-126, verse-8

शास्त्रदृष्टेन विधिना संयोज्यात्मानमात्मना ।
पिपासाशुष्कहृदयः प्रविवेशाश्रमं भृगोः ॥८॥
8. śāstradṛṣṭena vidhinā saṁyojyātmānamātmanā ,
pipāsāśuṣkahṛdayaḥ praviveśāśramaṁ bhṛgoḥ.
8. śāstradṛṣṭena vidhinā saṃyojya ātmānam ātmanā
pipāsāśuṣkahṛdayaḥ praviveśa āśramam bhṛgoḥ
8. Having united his self (ātman) with his (higher) self (ātman) by the method prescribed in the scriptures (śāstra), and with a heart parched by thirst, he entered the hermitage (āśrama) of Bhrigu.
