महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-126, verse-37

तस्य चित्यैर्महाराज क्रतूनां दक्षिणावताम् ।
चतुरन्ता मही व्याप्ता नासीत्किंचिदनावृतम् ॥३७॥
37. tasya cityairmahārāja kratūnāṁ dakṣiṇāvatām ,
caturantā mahī vyāptā nāsītkiṁcidanāvṛtam.

37. O great King, the entire earth with its four borders was covered by his altars and the sacrifices (kratu) performed with generous ritual fees. Nothing was left uncovered.
