महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-126, verse-18

न युक्तमिति तं प्राह भगवान्भार्गवस्तदा ।
सुतार्थं स्थापिता ह्यापस्तपसा चैव संभृताः ॥१८॥
18. na yuktamiti taṁ prāha bhagavānbhārgavastadā ,
sutārthaṁ sthāpitā hyāpastapasā caiva saṁbhṛtāḥ.
18. na yuktam iti tam prāha bhagavān bhārgavaḥ tadā |
suta-artham sthāpitā hi āpaḥ tapasā ca eva saṃbhṛtāḥ
18. Then the revered Bhargava said to him, 'This is not proper. Indeed, these waters were placed here for the sake of a son, and they were consecrated through austerity (tapas).'
