वैशंपायन उवाच ।

Vaiśaṃpāyana said: "Indeed, as soon as the Kuru king (Yudhiṣṭhira) heard of the great calamity that befell the Vṛṣṇis, he set his mind on a great departure (mahāprasthāna) and spoke to Arjuna."
