शतेन निष्कं गणितं सहस्रेण च संमितम् ।
यथा बहु प्रतीच्छन्हि पापिष्ठां लभते गतिम् ॥२६॥

śatena niṣkaṁ gaṇitaṁ sahasreṇa ca saṁmitam ,
yathā bahu pratīcchanhi pāpiṣṭhāṁ labhate gatim.

Vasiṣṭha said, "A single niṣka is valued as a hundred (units), and measured as a thousand. For indeed, just as one who accepts too much obtains the most wretched destiny."
