भीष्म उवाच ।
नमो धर्माय महते नमः कृष्णाय वेधसे ।
ब्राह्मणेभ्यो नमस्कृत्वा धर्मान्वक्ष्यामि शाश्वतान् ॥६॥

Bhishma said: "Salutations to the great natural law (dharma)! Salutations to Krishna, the ordainer of the universe! Having bowed to the Brahmins, I will declare the eternal principles of righteousness (dharma)."
