प्रजापतिर्हि वैश्याय सृष्ट्वा परिददे पशून् ।

23. Indeed, Prajāpati, having created the animals, handed them over to the Vaiśya. And to the Brāhmaṇa and to the king, he handed over all living beings (prajāḥ).
