भविष्यत्येष ते कामो न त्वायुष्मान्भविष्यति ।
देवराजाभिभूत्यर्थं संकल्पो ह्येष ते हृदि ॥१६॥

16. parvata uvāca ,
bhaviṣyatyeṣa te kāmo na tvāyuṣmānbhaviṣyati ,
devarājābhibhūtyarthaṁ saṁkalpo hyeṣa te hṛdi.

Parvata said: "This desire of yours will be fulfilled, but he will not be long-lived. Indeed, this intention (saṅkalpa) in your heart is for the purpose of overpowering the king of the gods."
