महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-296, verse-49

अज्ञानसागरो घोरो ह्यव्यक्तोऽगाध उच्यते ।
अहन्यहनि मज्जन्ति यत्र भूतानि भारत ॥४९॥
49. ajñānasāgaro ghoro hyavyakto'gādha ucyate ,
ahanyahani majjanti yatra bhūtāni bhārata.

ahanyahani majjanti yatra bhūtāni bhārata
49. bhārata hi ajñānasāgaraḥ ghoraḥ avyaktaḥ
agādhaḥ ucyate yatra ahanyahani bhūtāni majjanti
49. Indeed, the ocean of ignorance is said to be dreadful, unmanifest, and unfathomable. O Bhārata, it is there that beings sink day by day.
