महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-296, verse-48

देवलोकं तथा तिर्यङ्मानुष्यमपि चाश्नुते ।
यदि शुध्यति कालेन तस्मादज्ञानसागरात् ॥४८॥
48. devalokaṁ tathā tiryaṅmānuṣyamapi cāśnute ,
yadi śudhyati kālena tasmādajñānasāgarāt.

yadi śudhyati kālena tasmāt ajñānasāgarāt

48. He also experiences the realms of the gods, as well as animal and human existences. This occurs if, in due course, he is purified from that ocean of ignorance.
