Then, that person (puruṣa), being devoid of qualities (guṇas), abandons the unmanifest (avyakta), whose intrinsic nature (dharma) is characterized by creation and dissolution. He then understands material nature (prakṛti) as being endowed with qualities (guṇas) and as unconscious.
