महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-288, verse-23

न तथा वक्तुमिच्छन्ति कल्याणान्पुरुषे गुणान् ।
यथैषां वक्तुमिच्छन्ति नैर्गुण्यमनुयुञ्जकाः ॥२३॥
23. na tathā vaktumicchanti kalyāṇānpuruṣe guṇān ,
yathaiṣāṁ vaktumicchanti nairguṇyamanuyuñjakāḥ.
23. na tathā vaktum icchanti kalyāṇān puruṣe guṇān
yathā eṣām vaktum icchanti nairguṇyam anuyuñjakāḥ
23. anuyuñjakāḥ puruṣe kalyāṇān guṇān tathā vaktum na icchanti,
yathā eṣām nairguṇyam vaktum icchanti.
23. Those who find fault (anuyuñjakāḥ) are not as eager to speak of the good qualities in a person as they are to speak of their flaws (nirguṇya).
