महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-288, verse-15

अक्रोधनः क्रुध्यतां वै विशिष्टस्तथा तितिक्षुरतितिक्षोर्विशिष्टः ।
अमानुषान्मानुषो वै विशिष्टस्तथाज्ञानाज्ज्ञानवान्वै प्रधानः ॥१५॥
15. akrodhanaḥ krudhyatāṁ vai viśiṣṭa;stathā titikṣuratitikṣorviśiṣṭaḥ ,
amānuṣānmānuṣo vai viśiṣṭa;stathājñānājjñānavānvai pradhānaḥ.

tathā titikṣuḥ atitikṣoḥ viśiṣṭaḥ
| amānuṣāt mānuṣaḥ vai viśiṣṭaḥ

15. Among those who are angry, one who is not angry is indeed superior. Similarly, one who is forbearing is superior to one who is not forbearing. A human being (mānuṣa) is superior to non-humans. Likewise, a knowledgeable person is indeed preeminent over an ignorant one.
