महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-288, verse-11

क्षेपाभिमानादभिषङ्गव्यलीकं निगृह्णाति ज्वलितं यश्च मन्युम् ।
अदुष्टचेता मुदितोऽनसूयुः स आदत्ते सुकृतं वै परेषाम् ॥११॥
11. kṣepābhimānādabhiṣaṅgavyalīkaṁ; nigṛhṇāti jvalitaṁ yaśca manyum ,
aduṣṭacetā mudito'nasūyuḥ; sa ādatte sukṛtaṁ vai pareṣām.
11. kṣepābhimānāt abhiṣaṅgavyalīkam
nigṛhṇāti yaḥ ca jvalitam manyum
aduṣṭacetāḥ muditaḥ anasūyuḥ

11. And he who checks the offense and injury that arises from scornful pride, and also blazing anger (manyu); that person, having an uncorrupted mind, being cheerful and free from envy, indeed takes the spiritual merit (sukṛta) of others.
