वायुर्भीमो भीमनादो महौजाः सर्वेषां च प्राणिनां प्राणभूतः ।
नानावृत्तिर्देहिनां देहभेदे तस्माद्वायुर्देवदेवो विशिष्टः ॥३९॥

39. vāyurbhīmo bhīmanādo mahaujāḥ; sarveṣāṁ ca prāṇināṁ prāṇabhūtaḥ ,
nānāvṛttirdehināṁ dehabhede; tasmādvāyurdevadevo viśiṣṭaḥ.

39. vāyuḥ bhīmaḥ bhīma-nādaḥ mahā-ojāḥ
sarveṣām ca prāṇinām prāṇa-bhūtaḥ
| nānā-vṛttiḥ dehinām deha-bhede
tasmāt vāyuḥ deva-devaḥ viśiṣṭaḥ

39. vāyuḥ bhīmaḥ bhīma-nādaḥ mahā-ojāḥ
ca sarveṣām prāṇinām prāṇa-bhūtaḥ
dehinām deha-bhede nānā-vṛttiḥ
tasmāt vāyuḥ deva-devaḥ viśiṣṭaḥ

39. Vāyu is formidable, with a terrible roar and immense power, and is the essential life-force (prāṇa) of all living beings. He manifests in various functions for embodied beings, particularly at the dissolution of their bodies. Therefore, Vāyu is the most distinguished deity, the god of gods.
