Then, on the peak of the Himalayas (Himavat), where the gods had performed Vedic rituals (yajña), there, O King of kings (rājendra), she stood, supporting herself on her thumb for another immense period (nikharvam) after that. And with great effort (tapas), she pleased the Grandfather (pitāmaha).
