महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-250, verse-22

ततो ययौ महाभागा गङ्गां मेरुं च केवलम् ।
तस्थौ दार्विव निश्चेष्टा भूतानां हितकाम्यया ॥२२॥
22. tato yayau mahābhāgā gaṅgāṁ meruṁ ca kevalam ,
tasthau dārviva niśceṣṭā bhūtānāṁ hitakāmyayā.

tasthau dāru iva niśceṣṭā bhūtānām hitakāmyayā

22. Then, the greatly blessed one went to the Gaṅgā and Mount Meru alone. She stood there motionless like a log of wood, driven by the desire for the welfare of all beings.
