महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-161, verse-12

विजयी ह्यर्थवान्धर्ममाराधयितुमुत्तमम् ।
कामं च चरितुं शक्तो दुष्प्रापमकृतात्मभिः ॥१२॥
12. vijayī hyarthavāndharmamārādhayitumuttamam ,
kāmaṁ ca carituṁ śakto duṣprāpamakṛtātmabhiḥ.
12. vijayī hi arthavān dharmam ārādhayitum uttamam
kāmam ca caritum śaktaḥ duṣprāpam akṛtātmabhiḥ
12. hi vijayī arthavān uttamam dharmam āradhayitum
ca akṛtātmabhiḥ duṣprāpam kāmam caritum śaktaḥ
12. Indeed, one who is victorious (vijayī) and possesses material prosperity (artha) is able to practice supreme righteousness (dharma) and to fulfill desires (kāma), which are unattainable for those who have not disciplined their self (ātman).
