योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-7, chapter-23, verse-2

मङ्किर्नामाभवत्पूर्वं ब्राह्मणः संशितव्रतः ।
स कथं श्रृणु निर्वाणमाप्तवान्मद्विबोधितः ॥ २ ॥
maṅkirnāmābhavatpūrvaṃ brāhmaṇaḥ saṃśitavrataḥ ,
sa kathaṃ śrṛṇu nirvāṇamāptavānmadvibodhitaḥ 2

saḥ katham śṛṇu nirvāṇam āptavān matvibodhitaḥ
2. pūrvam maṅkiḥ nāma saṃśitavrataḥ brāhmaṇaḥ abhavat.

saḥ matvibodhitaḥ katham nirvāṇam āptavān
2. Formerly, there was a Brahmin named Maṅki, who was resolute in his vows. Listen to how he, instructed by me, achieved final liberation (nirvāṇa).
