योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-5, chapter-1, verse-1

श्रीवसिष्ठ उवाच ।
अथ स्थितिप्रकरणादनन्तरमिदं श्रृणु ।
उपशमप्रकरणं ज्ञातं निर्वाणकारि यत् ॥ १ ॥

atha sthitiprakaraṇādanantaramidaṃ śrṛṇu ,
upaśamaprakaraṇaṃ jñātaṃ nirvāṇakāri yat 1

idam śṛṇu upaśamaprakaraṇam jñātam nirvāṇakāri yat

1. Śrī Vasiṣṭha said: Now, listen to this section on tranquility (upaśama), which is known to lead to liberation (nirvāṇa), immediately after the section on abiding (sthiti).
