Having perceived (the world as) an image formed by waves, rising high like breaking water, inherently unreal, and seemingly as firm as a diamond setting, the knower of truth (tajjña) does not develop fleeting attachment (rati) to its desired pleasures, just as a royal swan (rājahamsa) finds no delight in tiny bits of moss and algae.
