योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-4, chapter-42, verse-5

अन्तरब्धेर्जलं यद्वत्स्पन्दास्पन्दवदीहते ।
सर्वशक्तिस्तथैकत्र गच्छति स्पन्दशक्तिताम् ॥ ५ ॥
antarabdherjalaṃ yadvatspandāspandavadīhate ,
sarvaśaktistathaikatra gacchati spandaśaktitām 5
5. antaḥ abdheḥ jalam yadvat spanda-aspanda-vat īhate
sarva-śaktiḥ tathā ekatra gacchati spanda-śaktitām
5. yadvat abdheḥ antaḥ jalam spanda-aspanda-vat īhate,
tathā sarva-śaktiḥ ekatra spanda-śaktitām gacchati
5. Just as the water within the ocean appears to be simultaneously moving and unmoving, so too does the all-powerful (brahman), in a particular instance, assume the nature of active vibrational power (śakti).
