योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-4, chapter-42, verse-47

छिन्नमूलमिवाम्भोजं परमां म्लानिमागतम् ।
छिन्नाङ्गमात्मनः स्थानाद्विशेषासङ्गदुःस्थितम् ॥ ४७ ॥
chinnamūlamivāmbhojaṃ paramāṃ mlānimāgatam ,
chinnāṅgamātmanaḥ sthānādviśeṣāsaṅgaduḥsthitam 47
47. chinnamūlam iva ambhojam paramām mlānim āgatam
chinnāṅgam ātmanaḥ sthānāt viśeṣāsaṅgaduḥsthitam
47. (tat) chinnamūlam ambhojam iva,
paramām mlānim āgatam,
ātmanaḥ sthānāt chinnāṅgam,
(ca) viśeṣāsaṅgaduḥsthitam (asti).
47. Like a lotus with its roots cut, which has reached extreme withering; with its limbs severed from its own place, suffering due to particular attachment.
