योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-3, chapter-122, verse-46

स्वास्पदात्मानमेवासौ विनष्टाद्देहपञ्जरात् ।
अभ्यस्तां वासनां यातः षट्पदः खमिवाम्बुजात् ॥ ४६ ॥
svāspadātmānamevāsau vinaṣṭāddehapañjarāt ,
abhyastāṃ vāsanāṃ yātaḥ ṣaṭpadaḥ khamivāmbujāt 46
46. svāspadātmanam eva asau vinaṣṭāt deha-pañjarāt
abhyastām vāsanām yātaḥ ṣaṭpadaḥ kham iva ambujāt
46. ṣaṭpadaḥ ambujāt kham iva,
asau vinaṣṭāt deha-pañjarāt abhyastām vāsanām yātaḥ svāspadātmanam eva
46. Just as a bee (ṣaṭpada) departs from a lotus and flies into the sky, so too, that [conscious entity] abandons the destroyed body-cage and goes to its own self (ātman), its natural abode, carrying the accumulated latent impressions (vāsanā).
