योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-3, chapter-111, verse-10

पौरुषेण प्रयत्नेन चित्तमाश्वेव जीयते ।
अचित्तेनाप्रयत्नेन पदं ब्रह्मणि दीयते ॥ १० ॥
pauruṣeṇa prayatnena cittamāśveva jīyate ,
acittenāprayatnena padaṃ brahmaṇi dīyate 10

10. Through one's personal effort (pauruṣa) and exertion, the mind (citta) is swiftly conquered. Through a state of no-mind (acitta) and no-effort, the ultimate state (pada) in Brahman (brahman) is attained.
