वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-6, chapter-23, verse-31

क्षमा यस्मिन्दमस्त्यागः सत्यं धर्मः कृतज्ञता ।
अहिंसा चैव भूतानां तमृते का गतिर्मम ॥३१॥
31. kṣamā yasmindamastyāgaḥ satyaṃ dharmaḥ kṛtajñatā ,
ahiṃsā caiva bhūtānāṃ tamṛte kā gatirmama.
