मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-72, verse-39

मार्कण्डेय उवाच ।
उत्तमस्य सुतः सोऽथ नाम्ना ख्यातस्तथौत्तमः ।
मनुरासीत्तत्प्रभावो भागुरे श्रूयतां मम ॥३९॥
39. mārkaṇḍeya uvāca .
uttamasya sutaḥ so'tha nāmnā khyātastathauttamaḥ .
manurāsīttatprabhāvo bhāgure śrūyatāṃ mama.
39. mārkaṇḍeyaḥ uvāca uttamasya sutaḥ saḥ atha nāmnā khyātaḥ
tathā auttamaḥ manuḥ āsīt tatprabhāvaḥ bhāgure śrūyatām mama
39. Mārkaṇḍeya said: "Then that son of Uttama, renowned by the name Auttama, was a Manu (manu). O Bhāguri, listen as I recount his greatness."
