मार्कण्डेय उवाच ।
ततः स राजा तं विप्रमाहास्मिन् कीदृशी क्रिया ।
तन्मूकतापनोदाय स च तं प्राह पार्थिवम् ॥२४॥

24. mārkaṇḍeya uvāca .
tataḥ sa rājā taṃ vipramāhāsmin kīdṛśī kriyā .
tanmūkatāpanodāya sa ca taṃ prāha pārthivam.

Mārkaṇḍeya said: Then that king asked the Brahmin, "What kind of rite (kriyā) should be performed in this matter, for the removal of her muteness?" Thereupon, that (Brahmin) spoke to the king.
