मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-72, verse-15

मार्कण्डेय उवाच ।
इत्युक्तस्तेन विप्रेण भूपालो विस्मितस्तदा ।
सस्मार तं महावीर्यं सत्यसन्धं निशाचरम् ॥१५॥
15. mārkaṇḍeya uvāca .
ityuktastena vipreṇa bhūpālo vismitastadā .
sasmāra taṃ mahāvīryaṃ satyasandhaṃ niśācaram.
15. mārkaṇḍeyaḥ uvāca iti uktaḥ tena vipreṇa bhūpālaḥ vismitaḥ
tadā sasmāra tam mahāvīryam satyasandham niśācaram
15. Mārkaṇḍeya said: Having been spoken to in this manner by that brahmin (vipra), the king (bhūpāla) was astonished at that time. He then remembered that exceedingly powerful (mahāvīrya) night-wanderer (niśācara) who was true to his word (satyasandha).
