मार्कण्डेय उवाच ।
इष्टिं सारस्वतीं चक्रे तदर्थं स द्विजोत्तमः ।
सारस्वतानि सूक्तानि जजाप च समाहितः ॥२६॥

26. mārkaṇḍeya uvāca .
iṣṭiṃ sārasvatīṃ cakre tadarthaṃ sa dvijottamaḥ .
sārasvatāni sūktāni jajāpa ca samāhitaḥ.

Mārkaṇḍeya said: That excellent Brahmin (dvijottama) performed the Sarasvatī ritual (iṣṭi) for that purpose. Being fully concentrated, he also chanted the Sarasvatī hymns (sūktas).
