मदर्थं तेन नागेन सुता शप्ता सखी मम ।
मूका भविष्यसीत्याह सा च मूकत्वमागता ॥२२॥

madarthaṃ tena nāgena sutā śaptā sakhī mama .
mūkā bhaviṣyasītyāha sā ca mūkatvamāgatā.

patnī uvāca madarthaṃ tena nāgena sutā śaptā sakhī

The wife said, 'For my sake, that nāga (nāga) cursed my friend's daughter, saying, "You will be mute." And she has indeed become mute.'
