महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-8, verse-44

तिष्ठ तिष्ठेति वागासीद्द्रावितानां महात्मनाम् ।
क्षत्रियाणां तदान्योन्यं संयुगे जयमिच्छताम् ।
आद्रवन्नेव भग्नास्ते पाण्डवैस्तव सैनिकाः ॥४४॥
44. tiṣṭha tiṣṭheti vāgāsīddrāvitānāṁ mahātmanām ,
kṣatriyāṇāṁ tadānyonyaṁ saṁyuge jayamicchatām ,
ādravanneva bhagnāste pāṇḍavaistava sainikāḥ.
44. tiṣṭha tiṣṭha iti vāk āsīt drāvitānām
mahātmanām kṣatriyāṇām tadā anyonyam
saṃyuge jayam icchhatām ādravan
eva bhagnāḥ te pāṇḍavaiḥ tava sainikāḥ
44. drāvitānām mahātmanām kṣatriyāṇām
jayam icchhatām anyonyam saṃyuge tadā
tiṣṭha tiṣṭha iti vāk āsīt tava sainikāḥ
ādravan eva pāṇḍavaiḥ te bhagnāḥ
44. "Stop! Stop!" such was the cry from the great warriors (mahātmanām) of the Kṣatriyas who were fleeing and yet, at that very moment, were mutually wishing for victory in battle. Even as your soldiers were running away, they were shattered by the Pāṇḍavas.
