महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-8, verse-33

तां नदीं पितृलोकाय वहन्तीमतिभैरवाम् ।
तेरुर्वाहननौभिस्ते शूराः परिघबाहवः ॥३३॥
33. tāṁ nadīṁ pitṛlokāya vahantīmatibhairavām ,
terurvāhananaubhiste śūrāḥ parighabāhavaḥ.

33. Those heroes, whose arms were like iron bars, crossed that exceedingly terrifying river [of battle] – which swept many towards the ancestral realm – by means of their mounts and conveyances.
