महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-8, verse-27

ते गजा घनसंकाशाः पेतुरुर्व्यां समन्ततः ।
वज्ररुग्णा इव बभुः पर्वता युगसंक्षये ॥२७॥
27. te gajā ghanasaṁkāśāḥ petururvyāṁ samantataḥ ,
vajrarugṇā iva babhuḥ parvatā yugasaṁkṣaye.

27. Those elephants, which resembled clouds, fell everywhere on the earth. They looked like mountains shattered by a thunderbolt at the time of the cosmic dissolution (yuga-saṃkṣaya).
