महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-55, verse-22

अद्यान्तमेषां दुःखानां गन्ता भरतसत्तम ।
एकाह्ना विनिहत्येमं भविष्याम्यात्मनोऽनृणः ॥२२॥
22. adyāntameṣāṁ duḥkhānāṁ gantā bharatasattama ,
ekāhnā vinihatyemaṁ bhaviṣyāmyātmano'nṛṇaḥ.
22. adya antam eṣām duḥkhānām gantā bharatasattama
ekāhnā vinihatya imam bhaviṣyāmi ātmanaḥ anṛṇaḥ
22. adya eṣām duḥkhānām antam gantā,
bharatasattama.
ekāhnā imam vinihatya,
ātmanaḥ anṛṇaḥ bhaviṣyāmi
22. Today will be the end of these sorrows (duḥkha), O best among the Bhāratas. Within a single day, by destroying this one, I shall become free from my obligation to my own self (ātman).
