महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-14, verse-38

तत्र राजञ्शरैर्मुक्तैर्निर्मुक्तैरिव पन्नगैः ।
स्वर्णपुङ्खैः प्रकाशद्भिर्व्यरोचन्त दिशस्तथा ॥३८॥
38. tatra rājañśarairmuktairnirmuktairiva pannagaiḥ ,
svarṇapuṅkhaiḥ prakāśadbhirvyarocanta diśastathā.

38. There, O king, the directions shone, made bright by the released arrows which, gleaming with golden shafts, appeared like snakes that had shed their skin.
