महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-21, verse-29

रथिनः समहामात्रान्गजानश्वान्ससादिनः ।
शरव्रातांश्च संक्रुद्धो निघ्नन्कर्णो व्यदृश्यत ॥२९॥
29. rathinaḥ samahāmātrāngajānaśvānsasādinaḥ ,
śaravrātāṁśca saṁkruddho nighnankarṇo vyadṛśyata.

śaravrātān ca saṃkruddhaḥ nighnan karṇaḥ vyadṛśyata
29. saṃkruddhaḥ karṇaḥ rathinaḥ samahāmātrān gajān

29. Karṇa, intensely enraged, was seen striking down charioteers along with their chief officers, elephants, horses with their riders, and also hosts of archers.
