महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-142, verse-11

तमापतन्तं सहसा कालचक्रमिवोद्यतम् ।
शरैरनेकसाहस्रैरच्छिनत्सूतनन्दनः ॥११॥
11. tamāpatantaṁ sahasā kālacakramivodyatam ,
śarairanekasāhasrairacchinatsūtanandanaḥ.

śaraiḥ anekasāhasraiḥ acchinat sūtanandanaḥ
11. sūtanandanaḥ tam sahasā udyatam kālacakram
iva āpatantam anekasāhasraiḥ śaraiḥ acchinat
11. The son of Sūta (Karṇa) cut him, who was rushing forth suddenly like the uplifted wheel of time, with many thousands of arrows.
