महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-132, verse-34

ततो नाज्ञासिषं किंचिद्घोरेण तमसावृते ।
सर्वभूतानि च परं त्रासं जग्मुर्महीपते ॥३४॥
34. tato nājñāsiṣaṁ kiṁcidghoreṇa tamasāvṛte ,
sarvabhūtāni ca paraṁ trāsaṁ jagmurmahīpate.
34. tataḥ na ajñāsiṣam kiñcit ghoreṇa tamasā āvṛte
sarvabhūtāni ca param trāsam jagmuḥ mahīpate
34. mahīpate tataḥ ghoreṇa tamasā āvṛte aham kiñcit
na ajñāsiṣam ca sarvabhūtāni param trāsam jagmuḥ
34. Then, as everything was enveloped in dreadful darkness, I (Sañjaya) knew nothing. And all beings, O King (Dhṛtarāṣṭra), experienced extreme terror.
