महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-187, verse-15

न हि मां क्षत्रियः कश्चिद्वीर्येण विजयेद्युधि ।
ऋते ब्रह्मविदस्तात तपसा संशितव्रतात् ॥१५॥
15. na hi māṁ kṣatriyaḥ kaścidvīryeṇa vijayedyudhi ,
ṛte brahmavidastāta tapasā saṁśitavratāt.

15. Indeed, dear one, no warrior (kṣatriya) could conquer me in battle through valor, except for one who knows Brahman (brahman) and whose resolve is intensified by asceticism (tapas).
