घातयामि सुकेशान्ते कीचकं यदि मन्यसे ।
योऽसौ त्वां कामसंमत्तो दुर्लभामभिमन्यते ॥४०॥

ghātayāmi sukeśānte kīcakaṁ yadi manyase ,
yo'sau tvāṁ kāmasaṁmatto durlabhāmabhimanyate.

Sudeshṇā said, "O woman with beautiful hair, I will have Kīcaka killed if you agree, that man who, maddened by lust, considers you, who are unattainable, to be his."
