तां चावस्थां गमितं सूतपुत्रं श्रुत्वा पार्था जहृषुः काननस्थाः ॥४०॥

40.
Hearing that Karna had been deprived, all the Dhritarashtras became dejected, as if their pride was shattered. And hearing that the son of Suta (Karna) had been reduced to such a state, the Pandavas, who were dwelling in the forest, rejoiced.
