महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-294, verse-37

ततो दिव्या दुन्दुभयः प्रणेदुः पपातोच्चैः पुष्पवर्षं च दिव्यम् ।
दृष्ट्वा कर्णं शस्त्रसंकृत्तगात्रं मुहुश्चापि स्मयमानं नृवीरम् ॥३७॥
37. tato divyā dundubhayaḥ praṇeduḥ; papātoccaiḥ puṣpavarṣaṁ ca divyam ,
dṛṣṭvā karṇaṁ śastrasaṁkṛttagātraṁ; muhuścāpi smayamānaṁ nṛvīram.

papāta uccaiḥ puṣpavarṣam ca divyam
dṛṣṭvā karṇam śastrasaṅkṛttagātram
muhuḥ ca api smayamānam nṛvīram
37. Then, divine drums (dundubhayaḥ) resounded, and a divine shower of flowers fell from above. This happened upon seeing Karṇa, the hero among men, whose limbs had been cut by weapons, yet who was repeatedly smiling.
