महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-294, verse-21

कर्ण उवाच ।
वर्मणा कुण्डलाभ्यां च शक्तिं मे देहि वासव ।
अमोघां शत्रुसंघानां घातनीं पृतनामुखे ॥२१॥
21. karṇa uvāca ,
varmaṇā kuṇḍalābhyāṁ ca śaktiṁ me dehi vāsava ,
amoghāṁ śatrusaṁghānāṁ ghātanīṁ pṛtanāmukhe.
21. karṇaḥ uvāca varmaṇā kuṇḍalābhyām ca śaktim me dehi
vāsava amoghām śatruśaṅghānām ghātanīm pṛtanāmukhe
21. Karna said: O Indra, in exchange for my armor and earrings, give me the unfailing power (śakti), which is a slayer of enemy hosts at the forefront of battle.
