ततो देवा मानवा दानवाश्च निकृन्तन्तं कर्णमात्मानमेवम् ।
दृष्ट्वा सर्वे सिद्धसंघाश्च नेदुर्न ह्यस्यासीद्दुःखजो वै विकारः ॥३६॥

36.
Then, the gods, humans, and dānavas (demons), as well as all the hosts of siddhas (perfected beings), having seen Karṇa thus cutting his own (ātman) body, roared [in amazement and approval]. Indeed, there was no sign of sorrow or distress (vikāra) visible in him.
