महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-2, chapter-48, verse-39

अष्टाशीतिसहस्राणि स्नातका गृहमेधिनः ।
त्रिंशद्दासीक एकैको यान्बिभर्ति युधिष्ठिरः ।
सुप्रीताः परितुष्टाश्च तेऽप्याशंसन्त्यरिक्षयम् ॥३९॥
39. aṣṭāśītisahasrāṇi snātakā gṛhamedhinaḥ ,
triṁśaddāsīka ekaiko yānbibharti yudhiṣṭhiraḥ ,
suprītāḥ parituṣṭāśca te'pyāśaṁsantyarikṣayam.

39. Yudhishthira supported eighty-eight thousand `snātaka` householders, each of whom had thirty maidservants. These householders, being very pleased and greatly satisfied, also prayed for the destruction of (Yudhishthira's) enemies.
