महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-2, chapter-48, verse-18

तत्र स्म द्वारपालैस्ते प्रोच्यन्ते राजशासनात् ।
कृतकाराः सुबलयस्ततो द्वारमवाप्स्यथ ॥१८॥
18. tatra sma dvārapālaiste procyante rājaśāsanāt ,
kṛtakārāḥ subalayastato dvāramavāpsyatha.

18. There, the gatekeepers, by the king's command, would tell them: "You who have paid your tributes and made excellent offerings may then reach the gate."
