महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-2, chapter-48, verse-20

दत्त्वैकैको दशशतान्कुञ्जरान्कवचावृतान् ।
क्षमावतः कुलीनांश्च द्वारेण प्राविशंस्ततः ॥२०॥
20. dattvaikaiko daśaśatānkuñjarānkavacāvṛtān ,
kṣamāvataḥ kulīnāṁśca dvāreṇa prāviśaṁstataḥ.
20. datvā ekaikaḥ daśaśatān kuñjarān kavacāvṛtān
kṣamāvataḥ kulīnān ca dvāreṇa prāviśan tataḥ
20. Then, each of them, having presented a thousand armored elephants that were patient and of noble lineage, entered through the gate.
