महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-2, chapter-48, verse-31

संवृता मणिचीरैस्तु श्यामास्ताम्रान्तलोचनाः ।
तान्गृहीत्वा नरास्तत्र द्वारि तिष्ठन्ति वारिताः ॥३१॥
31. saṁvṛtā maṇicīraistu śyāmāstāmrāntalocanāḥ ,
tāngṛhītvā narāstatra dvāri tiṣṭhanti vāritāḥ.
31. saṃvṛtāḥ maṇicīraiḥ tu śyāmāḥ tāmrānta-locanāḥ
tān gṛhītvā narāḥ tatra dvāri tiṣṭhanti vāritāḥ
31. However, there at the gate, men who are dark-skinned, with reddish-cornered eyes, and adorned with jewel-studded garments, stand restrained, having brought those (gifts).
