महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-14, chapter-91, verse-21

प्रतिगृह्य तु तद्द्रव्यं कृष्णद्वैपायनः प्रभुः ।
ऋत्विग्भ्यः प्रददौ विद्वांश्चतुर्धा व्यभजंश्च ते ॥२१॥
21. pratigṛhya tu taddravyaṁ kṛṣṇadvaipāyanaḥ prabhuḥ ,
ṛtvigbhyaḥ pradadau vidvāṁścaturdhā vyabhajaṁśca te.
21. pratigṛhya tu tat dravyam kṛṣṇadvaipāyanaḥ prabhuḥ
ṛtvigbhyaḥ pradadau vidvān caturdhā vyabhajan ca te
21. tu vidvān prabhuḥ kṛṣṇadvaipāyanaḥ tat dravyam
pratigṛhya ṛtvigbhyaḥ pradadau ca te caturdhā vyabhajan
21. Indeed, the learned and authoritative Krishna Dvaipayana (Vyasa), having received that wealth, distributed it to the officiating priests (ṛtvij); and they, in turn, divided it into four parts.
